Mitchell is a partner and the managing attorney of the firm. He has
practiced law for 14 years, with an emphasis on commercial real estate
finance and transactions, corporate transactions, corporate finance and
patent prosecution.
Mr. Mitchell has extensive
experience in commercial real estate transactions and finance. He has
acted as counsel in dozens of real estate finance transactions,
including acquisition loans, construction loans, mezzanine loans and
equity investments. Mr. Mitchell has represented five Delegated
Underwriting Servicer lenders in closing over 60 Fannie Mae multifamily
loans. He has also represented securitized loan servicers in the
closing of many assumption, modification and defeasance transactions,
and has represented both buyers and sellers in the purchase and sale of
commercial real property.
Mr. Mitchell has also
represented many large and small clients in many general corporate,
corporate finance and merger and acquisition transactions. He is
experienced in assisting new businesses to incorporate and seek angel
and venture capital investment. He has represented both sellers and
buyers in merger and acquisition transactions, and has extensive
experience in drafting and negotiating documentation for sales
transactions, loans and equity investments. Mr. Mitchell has acted as
counsel in over thirty merger and acquisition transactions ranging in
value from $300,000 to over $200 million.
Mr. Mitchell has also
been involved in the drafting and prosecution of patent applications,
particularly in the fields of mechanical inventions and biomedical
devices.
